Two winged girls lying on the grass with cats, enjoying soft and tender spring sunlight.

It's getting warmer here in Japan, swallows have come back, everybody's enjoying Spring. So do I, beer's getting tastier. XD

That aside, there's not much to say...I just wanted to have more practice. All that I need is practice...though it seems I'm a bit too old to have one. ( So don't be desperate, young people! )

Just in advance, to those people who would ask how I did it...there's no how, I don't have silver bullets. I just drew everything with brushes and eraser. There's no special filters, there's no magic-powder functions, all what I use are default brushes, eraser, smudge, layers, that's all.

Everything from sketches, lineart through painting and final effects, done on Photoshop 6.0 as usual.
Hope you like it. :)

How do you make it 'glow' and 'dreamy' like that? I mean, how do you do the lighting with the light source straight in front? Just soft colors and dodge? Is there any techniques?
btw, I love the grass textures ^^

I LOVE the dreamy feel of the picture. Really nice touch how the texture of the grass fades out towards the edges of the picture.

Absolutely astonishing. :D
I guess you could call this, a time in need of realization.
But who needs realization.
