Artist's Comments

We were just happy back then...

Lately I've found some letters that my classmate and I exchanged while we were in the 3rd grade of junior high school.
The letters were mostly about comics we shared, but sometimes about our lives, school activities, exams and so.
Inspired by the letters, I decided to draw a scene of school life. Not that eventful, but a moment of peace...

To those who'd ask how I did it: there's no how. Everything's drawn by hand. I don't have any secret brushes.

As it is becoming my standard, this is done with using both SAI and Photoshop CS3. SAI was used for sketching, lineart and painting, while CS3 was used for their eyes and effects. For more info about PaintTool SAI, [ check the SAI official site. ]

Hope you like it. :)

And again another fantastic piece! :) I really want to praise how you take the time to color and shade every bit of the characters as well as the surrounding environment to get the lights and atmosphere just right. The end result is beautiful. :D I especially like the details you put into the trees, and as usual, the correctness of the anatomies and faces of the characters. :)

"Renji’s scheduled to transfer out of the eleventh to join the sixth as a vice-captain very soon, and Zaraki just can’t respect a guy who wants to work for the owner of the fruitiest bankai out of all bankais to ever bankai in the history of bankai-dom."

that's so sweet, the picture looks great, though I love the tender feeling the most - I almost want to return back to my childhood

I think it's an excellent caption that you've chosen.

Nice work.

Love it! The hair is extremely well done, and the folds on the clothes are perfect! The detailing is extremely good, and the picture brings a lot of feeling to it! Well done!

GETTY I LOVE YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU! ;^;

Your work blows me away every single time. The female's school bag is was draws my eye most. Though, I'm not sure why haha! Gorgeous work. I love how soft you always make everything look, though it all stands out so well.

You've got an amazing talent <33

One day there will be no tears. One day there will be no hate. One day every one will get along.
My only wish is that I live to see that day come.

Your attention to detail is so unmatched. Looking at that fence, all the little rusted places and kinks in the wire adds completely to the piece.
As always, amazing work! Keep it up, you're very inspiring!
